UPDATE: Suspected driver in fatal Newmarket hit-and-run still in hospital, family members say


Clarification: An earlier version of this story stated that Peter Wallace has been released from the hospital. That information was provided to NH1 News by the hospital.

NEWMARKET - State police are still investigating a fatal accident that took place last week.

79-year-old Charles Dearborn of Newmarket died after the hit-and-run on Grant Road on Thursday.

State police found banged up Volvo that they were searching for in connection with a hit and run that killed a man in Newmarket last week on Grant Road.

Police found 44-year-old Peter Wallace unconscious nearby the car, and believe him to be the driver.

Wallace was treated at the Exeter hospital and according to family members, he is still on life support at the hospital.
