UPDATE: Suspect in Laconia kidnapping arrested in Concord

CONCORD — The man suspected of kidnapping a woman Sunday in Laconia has been arrested in Concord after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police responded to Cottage Street in Laconia shortly before midnight Sunday night for a report of a female being dragged by her hair into a vehicle screaming. The vehicle was described as a black GMC Terrain and the vehicle left at a high rate of speed from the area.

James Lemmond, 31, is charged with kidnapping and armed robbery with the possibility of additional charges.

He refused bail and will be arraigned Wednesday.
