BOW - A suspect believed to have held up the Common Man General Store in Hooksett early Saturday was taken into custody by Vermont state police later in the day.

State police, with help from Bow police, identified the suspect as a 17-year-old juvenile and his name was entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing juvenile.

Around 11:45 a.m. state police were asked to respond to an active pursuit at the border with New Hampshire and northern Vermont. Vermont state police were in pursuit of a van registered in New Hampshire and heading north on Interstate 91 towards St. Johnsbury.

After a roughly 30-mile pursuit, police say the driver was stopped and taken into custody after he lost control of the van. He was not injured. The can was found to have been stolen from a business in Bow earlier in the day.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Megan Walsh at 271-1162.
