UPDATE: Son of Manchester family dies; father's surgery successful

The premature son of Manchester family died Saturday.

Mike Glyn and Nancy Gebo had been struggling with pre-eclampsia, a pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure while their son Sawyer was in Gebo's womb. Sawyer only weighed about 1 pound when he was born.

Glyn had been in the hospital himself for back surgery.

In a post on her Facebook page, Nancy said, " "RIP Sawyer Strong Gebo 6/27/2015- 6/27/2015 I love you baby boy."

The family has asked for space during this time but still needs help to cover its bills and other costs associated with the medical care.

Donations to the family can be made through its Give Forward page.
