UPDATE: Salem's finance director resigns after shoplifting charges

SALEM - The finance director for the town of Salem has resigned, following her arrest last month on shoplifting charges.

READ: Salem's finance director facing additional charges for shoplifting from Macy's

Jane Savastano pleaded not guilty to three charges that she allegedly shoplifted two separate times from a Macy's.

Savastano remains free on bail and is expected back in court next month.
