UPDATE: Police say woman in ICU after being hit by a car in Manchester


MANCHESTER - A woman is in the intensive care unit at a local hospital after being hit by a car on a busy road in Manchester Thursday night.

It happened just before 9 p.m. outside of the Market Basket on Elm Street.

Manchester Police say the woman may have run into traffic before she was hit by a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta driven by an unidentified man.

The driver was not injured.

Police have not released the identity of the victim at this time.
