UPDATE: Police say huge Nashua crash was result of chase after stabbing, carjacking


NASHUA - Police said the massive crash in Nashua was the result of a police chase after a woman was stabbed and her car was stolen.

State police said a Good Samaritan was stabbed after a man crashed on the F.E. Everett Turnpike after he lost control of his car after a robbery in Nashua. The woman stopped to help, was stabbed, and the suspect took off in her vehicle.

Police chased the suspect from New Hampshire into Massachusetts and back into New Hampshire.

The crash has closed the Everett Turnpike in Nashua between exits 4 and 5.

Heavy traffic is flooding the area and drivers are being asked to find alternate routes.
