MERRIMACK - The police have released the identity of the driver of car that crashed into a toll booth last week.
N.H. State Police said John McDonough, 27 of Merrimack, was driving erratically Thursday afternoon on the Everett Turnpike heading Southbound in the towns of Bedford and Merrimack before crashing into the side of the Exit 11 tolls.
Police said McDonough - driving a red 2006 BMW - narrowly missed hitting a motorcyclist, a dump truck, and a police cruiser and caused a minor accident with a pick-up truck before the crash.
Here's some video from the scene of the crash:
Police said the investigation resulted in the belief that speed was a contributing factor in this collision.
Police are still looking for information regarding the accident.
If you have any information regarding the crash, contact Trooper Mark Dore at the State Police Barracks Troop B in Bedford at 603-672-3333.
