The bird flew into a car over the weekend near the Merrimack Premium Outlets, and the driver - off-duty NH Trooper Christopher Cummings - stopped the car for him, and called Capital Area Veterinary Emergency Services in Concord for help.

The owl suffered an eye injury but was cleared by the veterinarian to return to the wild on Monday.

The owl was set to be released in Merrimack by Wings Wildlife Rehabilitation.
