LACONIA – The incident that shut down three Laconia streets and a nearby elementary school, began with a report from a man who said he was threatened by another man.
According to Laconia police, officers arrived on scene and spoke to the alleged victim while officers tried to get the other man to come out of the apartment on Jewett Street – but he resisted.
The Belknap Special Operations Group was called in to assist the situation.
The victim was not sure of the man’s name, and Laconia police have issued an arrest warrant for "John Doe."
A woman came out of the apartment and spoke with detectives, but she turned out not to be a person of interest.
When officers entered the apartment they found a shot gun and several rounds of ammunition.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Laconia police.
