UPDATE: NH woman dies day after getting special Thanksgiving message from Tom Brady
Her family didn't expect her to come home.
Jaclyn Spotts had been in critical care at a Boston hospital for longer than two weeks, but they tried to brighten her last moments by reaching out to her hero, Tom Brady.
And he delivered a wonderful video message for her.
Unfortunately, Jaclyn couldn't hold out much longer. She passed away early Thursday morning.
Her family announced her passing in a Facebook post.
"Last night at about 1am, Jaclyn finally gave up her struggles and now rests in peace. I find it ironic that, in the end, it was her heart that gave out -- hers was the biggest and best of just about anyone I've ever known. It was a gift to those she left behind that she had the time and energy to prepare and say goodbye. She never regained consciousness during the last 24 hours, but those of us who were with her for the past week will always cherish the lucid moments with her spontaneous "I love you's" and reaching her arms out to one or another of us for a tight hug. In the end, she was resting comfortably and in no pain. Her struggles are over. For her loving family members who were by her side every step of the way, there is still healing ahead."
Our condolences go out to her family.
