UPDATE: NH state trooper struck by car on Everett Turnpike identified


MERRIMACK - A state trooper struck by an unidentified car early Sunday morning has been identified as Trooper Ryan Hickey.

State police said Hickey is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the trooper was conducting a traffic stop at 2:30 a.m. in the area of Exit 10 on the Everett Turnpike when he was struck by a car travelling southbound. The car also hit the driver's side door of the trooper's cruiser.

The vehicle is believed to be a light-colored 2002-2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer with damage to the passenger side mirror and front passenger window.
