UPDATE: NH police identify drivers in fatal crash on Route 202 in Henniker


HENNIKER - A car crash on Route 202 on Monday night in Henniker killed one man and sent another to the hospital with serious injuries.

A pickup truck driven by Todd Goss, 52 of Henniker, was on fire when emergency personnel arrived on scene.

Goss was pronounced dead at the scene after crews extinguished the fire. He was the only person in the truck at the time of the crash.

John Auprey, 46 of Penacook, was driving a Toyota Scion, and was transported via helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Police said after an investigation that Goss was traveling fast in the breakdown lane on westbound Route 202 when he merged suddenly, hitting the back of Auprey's car.

Both cars left the roadway, and Goss's trucked rolled over several times, catching fire.

The crash is still under investigation.
