UPDATE: NH AG investigating death of Nashua police officer, autopsy scheduled
PELHAM - Pelham police and the N.H. Attorney General are following an investigation of what they’re calling an accidental death in Pelham.
The victim’s body is scheduled for an autopsy Thursday night.
So far NH1 News has confirmed the victim was a Nashua Police officer, who worked the third shift.
He’d been with the department for more than 2 years.
Property records indicate the home where the incident occurred belonged to another officer with Nashua police.
The Attorney General confirmed that this death appears accidental on the victim’s part and Deputy Chief Michael Carignan of Nashua said no officers are on leave at this time.
Neighbors said police arrived to the home late last night, and they haven’t been able to sleep since.
“Police cars, and ambulances - all the commotion going on across the street kept me up,” said neighbor Dorothy Drier.
A press conference is scheduled later Thursday where the victim’s name and official cause of death will be released.
