MERRIMACK - Harrison Lambert, 23, of Merrimack was critically injured in an officer-involved shooting in front of his home at 8 Joppa Road Thursday afternoon.
According to the Attorney General's Office, police responded to a domestic call of a man threatening his father with a knife. When officers arrived, Lambert was apparently waiting for them at the end of the driveway holding a knife.
It's unclear what kind of threat was made to police, but at least one officer fired multiple shots at Lambert.
Lambert has a lengthy criminal history and has had several run-ins with police. According to a 2013 Merrimack Patch article, Lambert was arrested for allegedly threatening neighbors with a knife and spitting at police.
Investigators aren't sure if one or both officers fired their weapons, but both have been placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
Lambert was flown to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.
