UPDATE: Man who died in morning rollover on Route 101 identified by police

CANDIA - The man killed in an rollover accident on Route 101 on Friday morning has been identified as Joseph Dekorne, 43, of Fremont.

State police say he sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was identified as Michael McCormick, 31, of Bedford. He sustained what appeared to be minor injuries and was taken to Elliot Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police say it appears that a Dodge Dakota pickup driven by Dekorne was heading east on Route 101 at a high rate of speed when he lost control, hit the Audi and rolled over, with the truck landing on its roof around 7:30 a.m.

Route 101 eastbound was closed for about three hours, and traffic was detoured off Exit 3 while the scene was investigated and debris cleaned up.
