ARLINGTON, Mass. - A man wanted for kidnapping and robbery earlier this week has been arrested, according to police.

Steven Michael O'Brien, 25, of Arlington, was arrested for shoplifting from a store in Burlington on Friday, when officers there learned that he was wanted for other alleged crimes.

Police say O'Brien had arranged to meet an Arlington man on Craigslist on June 30 and then robbed him and took his car keys.

O'Brien was taken to the Burlington police department and then transferred to Arlington police custody. He will be held pending his arraignment in Cambridge District Court on Monday.

He has been charged with possessing a stolen motor vehicle, kidnapping and larceny.
