HAMPSTEAD - Julian Edelman joined the community in rallying around a widower and his three kids after their home burned to the ground Sunday night.
Two Go Fund Me pages have already raised more than $70,000 for John Ward and his family.
This isn't the first time the family has seen an outpouring of support. John's wife Monica lost her battle with cancer last year.
In just two days, the community raised $37,000.
Now just one day after that, the total is more than $70,000.
They even had a very special person join for the cause.
Edelman, the New England Patriots wide receiver and fan favorite, tweeted out a link to one of the GoFundMe pages on Wednesday.
