UPDATE: Inmate missing from Manchester transitional housing turns himself in

MANCHESTER - State corrections officials say inmate Khyree Rasheed Thompson turned himself in at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester Saturday evening after failing to return from work earlier in the afternoon.

Thompson was taken to the state prison in Concord.

He had signed out of the housing unit at 6:40 a.m. to go to work but failed to return at his scheduled time of 1 p.m., according to the corrections department. He turned himself in around 6:30 p.m.

He was serving a 3 to 6 years sentence for sale, possession and manufacturing of cocaine and would have been eligible for parole in March.
