UPDATE: In handwritten motion, Kibby says dropped charges could harm his reputation

CONCORD (AP) — The New Hampshire man charged with kidnapping and raping a teenage girl over the course of nine months wants his record erased of already-dropped charges alleging that he threatened a prosecutor, saying they caused "irreparable harm" to his reputation.

Nathaniel Kibby, in a handwritten, four-page memorandum of law, says he wants charges that he threatened top prosecutor Jane Young cleared from his record. A county attorney dropped the charges two months ago.

Kibby is scheduled to go on trial in June on more than 200 felony charges related the October 2013 kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl. Prosecutors say he held her captive at his Gorham trailer and a storage container on his property.

His attorney, Jesse Friedman, would not comment on Kibby's jailhouse lawyering.
