LACONIA - Flames have engulfed a building at the Stratham Tire on 125 Water St. in Laconia.
First responders are on the scene and police are redirecting traffic.
Neither the cause nor the extent of the fire are currently known, but flames were visible through the roof of the building when crews arrived on scene.
As of 8:15 p.m., the fire had been knocked down.
Fire Chief Kenneth Erickson said the cold is a big problem and hoses would need to be rolled up quickly before they start to freeze.
Erickson said the building contained 600-800 tires but only a few of them burned.
