UPDATE: Concord brothers biking across US for ALS in Colorado, donations over $10,000
Brothers Derek and Dylan Thomson of Concord are now two weeks into their cycling journey across the United States to raise money for ALS, the disease Concord High School principal Gene Connolly was diagnosed with in 2014.
As of Monday afternoon, a GPS live-tracking device the brothers are using has them located just outside of Glenwood Springs, Colorado - about 160 miles west of Denver. They have raised $10,291.01 so far.
Their journey began in San Francisco and will conclude in Seabrook, totaling about 4,500 miles of cycling.
To follow the Thomson brothers as they continue their ride across America, visit their Facebook page “Cycling the US for ALS” and website CyclingtheUSforALS.com. Both contain updates and information about the cause, including a link for donations.
