CANAAN - A Massachusetts man is the latest to be busted as part of an ongoing prostitution sting.
The Union-Leader reported James Morgan, 55, of Sudbury, was arrested Monday on one count of prostitution. He was arrested after he contacted undercover officers and offered to pay money for various sexual acts. Police said he was arrested as part of an investigation that began last week and led to the arrest of three men, including Matt Laramie, 48, the former principal of the Bernice A. Ray School in Hanover.
The prostitution charge is a Class B Misdemeanor and Morgan was released on $7,500 personal recognizance bail with an arraignment scheduled for July 11 in Lebanon.
The Canaan Police Department continues to pursue these types of investigations to ensure the deterrence of crime, quality of life and the safety of our citizens and visitors.
