UPDATE: AG confirms Londonderry murder suspect killed himself

LONDONDERRY - A man who shot and killed a City Fuel employee working in his home committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, an autopsy showed.

Investigators said the autopsy of Richard R. Verville, 71, confirmed the gunshot wound to the head was self-inflicted. Verville shot himself in the head May 24 after shooting Richard Rabideau, 59, inside Verville's Currier Road home. Police said Rabideau was at the house to work on the heating system. Police said Verville shot Rabideau from behind and then went into another room and shot himself.

Police said shooting appears to have been the result of Mr. Verville’s significant mental health issues.

The investigation is still ongoing.
