UPDATE: AG confirms Londonderry homeowner is murder suspect; his condition upgraded to stable

LONDONDERRY - Investigators have confirmed that Richard R. Verville, 69, allegedly shot and killed repairman Daniel Rabideau, 59, Tuesday.

Rabideau was shot in the head, investigators said.

Verville also shot himself in the head and is currently listed in stable condition, but is unresponsive at a Massachusetts hospital. The state's Attorney General's office described Verville as suffering from "significant mental health issues at the time of the incident."

The murder and attempted suicide happened at Verville's home at 2 Currier Drive. Rabideau, a three-year employee of Manchester-based City Fuel, was at the home to work on the heating system.

Rabideau's wife Carole Rabideau spoke to NH1 News this morning, saying the Rabideau was a father to one adult child and a stepfather to four children. He had 11 grandchildren. His death comes only two weeks after his parents lost their only other child. He had been working with City Fuel for about three years, she said.
