FRANKLIN - A SWAT standoff lasted 5 hours but eventually ended peacefully Tuesday afternoon.
Franklin police responded to 68 W. Bow St. in attempts to locate and arrest Benjamin Geddis, 27 of Franklin, on outstanding warrants.
Police confirmed Geddis was at the home, but he refused to surrender leading to the arrival of N.H. State Police S.W.A.T.
Geddis eventually exited the residence peacefully after a 5-hour standoff, police said.
The incident put nearby Franklin High School into a lock down for about 20 minutes.
Franklin Police were assisted by Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department, Belknap County Sheriff’s Department, Tilton Police, Northfield Police, Sanbornton Police and the Franklin Fire Department.
