UPDATE: 4 weeks later, 3 arrested in Eve Tarmey's overdose death - including her mother

ROCHESTER - Almost a month after she overdosed, three people have been arrested in connection with a Rochester teen's death.

Police arrested 41-year-old Jazzmyn Rood; Rood's boyfriend, Mark Ross, 41; and 31-year-old Leslie Aberle, of Salisbury, Mass.

Police said at a press conference Thursday that 17-year-old Eve Tarmey died of a drug overdose while in a motel room with her mother and another man on Oct. 17.

Toxicology reports found deadly levels of Fentanyl in Tarmey's body.

"It’s important in any death investigation where someone contributes to the death - especially a minor - to hold them accountable," Rochester Police Chief Michael Allen said in a press conference Thursday. "The fact that it is the mother of the victim makes it even more disturbing to me.”

Rood has been charged with conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled drug, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless conduct.

Ross has been charged with conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled drug, tampering with witnesses, two counts of falsifying evidence and dispensing a controlled drug - death resulting.

Aberle has been charged with conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled drug, tampering with witnesses, dispensing controlled drug - death resulting and being a fugitive from justice.

UPDATE: 3rd person arrested, charged in connection with Eve Tarmey's death

Officials declined to offer more specifics on the case regarding the lifestyle that Rood and Ross were involved in, including a history of drugs and escort service ads posted on the website backpage.com.
