MANCHESTER - The four victims of Monday's fatal fire have officially been identified.
After autopsies were performed Tuesday by the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the four victims were identified as:
- Joshua Harrison, 33 of Manchester
- Ailene Moody, 39 of Manchester
- Joshua Harrison, 10 of Manchester
- Jay Michael Garon, 8 of Manchester
All four died from smoke inhalation, the Chief Medical Examiner said.
Friends and neighbors say the two boys were half brothers, and the four lived together in the Wilson Street apartment building on Manchester's east side.
A makeshift memorial of candles and flowers has been built around a stop sign near the charred apartment complex.
A neighborhood nonprofit will host a celebration of the boys' life Thursday and provide grief counselors for other children at a Tuesday afternoon homework club.
At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence to support an ongoing public safety concern.
The investigation is ongoing.
