UPDATE: 32 people injured in Lancaster tent collapse, autopsies being performed on 2 dead


LANCASTER – In a press conference Tuesday morning new details were released in the tragic circus tent collapse at the Lancaster Fairgrounds.

NH State Fire Marshal, Bill Degnan, said 32 people have reported injuries.

A father and daughter were killed Monday night when the tent collapsed. Autopsies are being performed.

Two dead after tent collapse at Lancaster Fairgrounds

Fire Marshals surveyed the area from the sky in a State Police helicopter Tuesday afternoon.

Severe weather is believed to be the cause of the tent collapse as strong winds and weather advisories were posted just before the 5:30 p.m. performance.

The Walker Brothers Circus is still scheduled to have a performance Wednesday night in Grafton.

The Walker Brothers Circus company has canceled a scheduled performance Wednesday night in Vermont.
