UPDATE: 3 deaths in coastal Maine town appear connected, with no one else involved

BOOTH BAY HARBOR, Maine - Police who found three bodies inside two houses in the coastal Maine town of Boothbay Harbor say they believe no one else is involved outside of the three people discovered on Saturday.

Authorities believe they are from the same family.

Detectives are now investigating the circumstances of the deaths. The dead are a man and women in their 70s and a man in his 40s. Detectives will begin gathering evidence from the two houses tonight.
The bodies will be transported to the state medicals examiner's office in Augusta overnight for autopsies that will begin Sunday. More information is expected to be released Sunday afternoon including the identities of the three.

The bodies were found inside a home on Lakeside Drive and later a third was found inside a home on Montgomery Road.

Police say the discovery was made after someone called police requesting that they check on one of the properties.
