Union Leader endorses 3rd-party candidate Johnson; bashes Trump and Clinton

As Trump and the Clinton campaign return to New Hampshire, The Union Leader - in a detailed editorial - announced their endorsement of Gary Johnson and Bill Weld as of Wednesday afternoon.

The UL started their editorial with a political joke that neither Trump nor Clinton would take a liking to.

"A joke on the Internet: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are together in a lifeboat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. No land in sight. No ships in sight. Who survives? [They ask] Answer: The American people," the UL wrote at the beginning of their endorsement.

They explain their opposition of both the candidates and their opposition of the misconception that there are only two choices when it comes to who will run this country next.

"Americans are being told that we have to choose the lesser of two evils. No, we don’t," they write in the editorial before introducing the libertarian candidates and their presence on the ballot in all 50 states.

They refer to the candidates as the bright lights of hope and reason in this "dark time."
