UNH students to host panel with Durham police on minority relations


DURHAM — The UNH Justice Studies department is bringing the discussion of community relations with local police to Durham in the form of a panel on Friday.

The panel discussing police and minority relations with be moderated by UNH Dean of Students John Kirkpatrick, with local police and community leaders serving as panelists.

The panel includes: Juan Cofield, president of the New England Area NAACP; Donna Brown of Wadleigh, Starr & Peters law firm in Manchester; Andrew Smith, coordinator of the NH State Disproportionate Minority Contact; and Dover Police Chief Anthony Colarusso.

The event is open to the public. It wil begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Building, theater II.
