UNH students give out free homemade ice cream to show off their work with cows

DURHAM (AP) - University of New Hampshire students will be serving up homemade ice cream to show off their work managing a small dairy herd.

The students hosting Sunday's open house are enrolled in a course called Cooperative Real Education in Agricultural Management, or CREAM. With the help of advisers, the student-run cooperative manages about 30 Holstein dairy cows.

The open house also showcases the UNH Fairchild Dairy Teaching and Research Center, and includes tours of the facilities, games and crafts.
