DURHAM — The University of New Hampshire Student Executive Board terminated one of their members after she allegedly posted a photo of a man in blackface.

The board said in a statement that Christina Bianco, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Liaison of the University Student Senate Presidential Cabinet, posted a Snapchat in March showcasing one man in blackface with the caption "Ur bf likes us more than u." She is not one of the four people seen in the photo, All Eyes on UNH wrote on Facebook.

The organization said the photo depicted "numerous accounts of racism and cultural appropriation."

"We as a governing institution completely condemn the person the person who posted the photo, the people in the photo, and any racial abuse that occurs on this campus. The actions of this individual do not reflect the work and character of our organization, its members, and associates," a letter from the board read.

Members of the board terminated Bianco from her position Saturday after the picture was made public.

The discovery followed a Thursday night forum in which UNH students urged administrators to do more to combat racism.

"We are alarmed at the lack of action taken to deal with these issues in light of prior reports made to the Affirmative Action and Equity Office," the board wrote.
