Underage NH woman facing felony DUI charges after crashing into utility pole

ROCHESTER — A Farmington woman was arrested for driving under the influence after she drove off the road and collided with a utility pole.

Katlyn Swain, 20, crashed her car in front of the Rochester Public Works building on Old Dover Road at about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Swain was not wearing a seat belt but the airbags in her 2003 Hyundai Tiburon did deploy. She was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

Swain was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated which is a felony. She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at the Strafford County Superior Court on Sep. 26.
