UConn's Kevin Ollie required to miss coaches convention after travel banned to Indiana
Usually, sports and politics mix about as well as ice cream and green beans. But recent legislation regarding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Indiana has raised indignation so severe that some governors have issued travel bans.
For UConn head basketball coach Kevin Ollie, the travel ban that Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy issued means missing the National Association of Basketball Coaches convention as well as the Final Four, which are both being held in Indianapolis this weekend, NBCSports.com reported.
Gov. Maggie Hassan told NH1 on Tuesday that she would consider banning travel to Indiana.
