Two taxis collide at Pease International Tradeport
PORTSMOUTH - A crash involving two taxi cabs from different cab companies sent the drivers to the hospital but no one was seriously injured.
Police Sgt. Rich Webb told seacoastonline that the accident happened near C&J Trailways at Pease International Tradeport on Thursday afternoon. An Anchor Taxi, operated by a 67-year-old driver, had stopped at a stop sign when the 48-year-old driver of an Annie's Taxi "got distracted" and hit the other cab.
Fire Chief Steve Achilles said both men were taken by ambulance to Portsmouth Regional Hospital and the cars were towed, but that neither man appeared badly hurt. Neither taxi was transporting passengers at the time.
Webb said the crash remains under investigation.
