Two NH officer K9s nominated for Red Sox award


DOVER - Two New Hampshire officer K9 teams have been nominated by the Red Sox for a K9 Hero Award during Law Enforcement Appreciation Night next month at Fenway Park.

Daisy Mae and Deputy Sheriff Keith MacKenzie from the Strafford County Sheriff's Department got a nomination after they tracked an armed homicide suspect deep in the woods of northern Maine.

Daisy Mae and Dep. Sheriff Keith Mackenzie have tracked down several criminals in the Northeast.

New Hampshire Fish and Game officer Mark Hensel and his partner Sig are also nominated. They found a lost young boy in Rumney and reunited him with his family.

Officer Mark Hensel and K9 Sig are one of six teams nominated for the Red Sox K9 Hero award

The Boston Red Sox will honor all six regional nominees ahead of a Monday night game on July 27th. Anyone can vote for their favorite K9 team here.
