Two Manchester stores robbed in the same day

MANCHESTER - Police think there may be a connection between a Ben & Jerry's downtown Manchester robbery and a robbery at Subway on the west side. Both occurred Wednesday.

At 2:40 p.m., a white male walked into Ben & Jerry's on Elm Street, allegedly stated he had a weapon and demanded cash. No weapon was seen but the man took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as possibly in his 50's or 60's with gray goatee style facial hair and approximately six feet tall weighting about 180 lbs. He was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants.

At approximately, 7:55 p.m., a man fitting the same description robbed the Subway on South Main Street. Once again, the man claimed to have a weapon but it was not seen. He took off on foot after grabbing an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Manchester Police.
