Two charged with forging prescriptions at Dover pharmacies


DOVER - Police have charged two people with forging prescriptions for a controlled substance.

Police said Kristyn A. Chaplin, 38, of Dover, would call prescriptions into a pharmacy claiming to be a nurse. After she called, her husband Shawn M. Chaplin, 39, of Dover, would then pick the prescriptions up, police said.

The pair are accused of doing this at five pharmacies in the city.

Kristyn Chaplin is charged with 11 counts of prescription fraud and one count of criminal trespass.

Shawn Chaplin is charged with seven counts of prescription fraud and one count of criminal trespass

Both were arraigned earlier this week and have been released on personal recognizance bail with pending court dates in May.
