Two arrested in Hooksett for possession of drugs

HOOKSETT - Two men have been charged with selling marijuana out of a hotel room after police responded to a call to check on a child.

Police responded to the Firebird Motel, 10 Bell Ave., Room 109, for a welfare check for a small child who was believed to be in a room with people who were fighting. Police also had reason to believe drugs were being sold out of the room.

Police obtained a warrant and searched the room finding marijuana, scales, packing materials, cellphones, and other items used in drug trade.

Police arrested Jarron Mccabe, 20, and Jaquin Davis, 19, and charged them with possession of a controlled drug.

Mccabe was released on $500 cash bail. Davis was taken to the Merrimack County Jail and is being held on $2,000 cash bail.
