Two arrested after traffic stop in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in Manchester on Thursday.

Police said that after stopping a vehicle for having defective equipment, officers saw a woman, identified as Diana Dimartino, reach into her boot.

Following safety protocol, Officer Derek Feather instructed to Dimartino to stop reaching into her boot.

Dimartino initially failed to comply and Feather told her to get out of the vehicle, police said.

When police told Dimartino to remove the contents of her boot, she allegedly pulled out two small bags containing crack-cocaine and threw them into the snow.

Police placed Dimartino into custody and charged her with resisting arrest/detention, falsifying physical evidence and possession of a controlled drug.

The driver of the vehicle, Sheldon Wallace, of Concord, also was charged with possession of a controlled drug.

Both were scheduled to appear in Manchester district court Friday.
