Trespassing call leads to drug arrest in Manchester

MANCHESTER — A trespassing call led to a drug arrest after police found a man in the bathroom of a vacant home Thursday night.

Police said around 9:20 p.m. they responded to 472 Granite St., Apt. 3, and located a man inside of the bathroom.

Police identified the man as Francis McLaughlin, 25, with no fixed address.

McLaughlin exited the bathroom and spoke with an officer near the kitchen, where the officer noticed a hypodermic needle sticking out of a bag next to the refrigerator.

Police said the officer seized a small amount of methamphetamine inside of the bag after McLaughlin consented to a search. He was placed into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters.

He was scheduled to appear in the Manchester district court Friday.
