Traffic piles up after driver falls asleep behind the wheel, drives truck off I-93
LONDONDERRY – A Concord woman has been cited on negligent driving charges after she admitted to falling asleep while driving a box truck Wednesday.
Karyn Wornick, 58, veered off Interstate 93 North while driving a Budget box truck.
Wornick was not injured but the guardrail had to be removed by police in order to remove the truck from the highway’s shoulder.
The accident caused significant traffic during Wednesday's rush hour as I-93 was restricted to one lane travel for five hours.
