NASHUA - An arrest has been made in connection to the murder of Brenda Warner and her partner Charlene Ranstrom that has gone unsolved for over two decades.
Anthony Barnaby, a Candian man was living above the two women when they were murdered. His friend David Caplin would visit often.
Both Caplin and Barnaby were working construction in Nashua when Ranstrom and Warner were bound, beaten and stabbed to death in their home.
Anthony Barnaby was arrested a few days later but Caplin’s arrest didn’t come until in June 1990. That arrest just days before Barnaby’s third murder trial started. All ending in mistrials.
Caplin's charges were dropped in 1991 but in September, 2011 a Canadian judge ruled that both Barnaby and Caplin can be extradited from Canada.
Last night Caplin was arrested by Nashua police.
