Timeline, details of investigation of former Maine principal's conduct with Mascenic students

Police in Waterville, Maine, have released a timeline of their investigation into new allegations from New Hampshire that surfaced against a high school principal accused of asking a Waterville High School student to have sex with him. Former high school principal Don Reiter was fired last week and now faces a misdemeanor criminal charge.

He previously worked at Mascenic Regional High School in New Ipswich where former students have said he had inappropriate relationships with female students there.

The following is a timeline of the investigation into the New Hampshire allegations conducted by Waterville Detective Sgt. Bill Bonney:

11/14/15 – Det. Sgt. Bonney receives 147 pages of letters purportedly written by Reiter based on Reiter’s name on the address line to the aforementioned 17-year-old female student of Mascenic Regional High School. 11/14/15 – Det. Sgt. Bonney learns that the (Waterville) Morning Sentinel is also receiving tips regarding this case and Reiter’s alleged inappropriate behavior.
