Tim Ferriss flash funds New Hampshire schools
MANCHESTER - An author who graduated from St. Paul's School in Concord has funded every open request from New Hampshire schools on DonorsChoose.org.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Tim Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Workweek and other self-help books, said, “I’m funding all classroom projects in Long Island, New Hampshire and Sacramento because New York, New Hampshire and California, are my three educational homes. If it weren’t for incredible teachers and mentors in all three places, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m thrilled to support the next generations of teachers, who are my heroes,”
One of the projects included the transportation to send 1,000 Henry Wilson Elementary School fourth-graders to see a symphony at the high school
Ferriss was among more than 50 athletes, actors, founders, and philanthropists who announced a surprise “flash funding” of classroom projects on Thursday posted on DonorsChoose.org in communities across the U.S.
