TILTON - Police seized drugs believed to be heroin and methamphetamine from a home at 21 Chestnut St. where a child was living.
Police arrested 44-year-old Kristine Marie Patten, of 21 Chestnut St., on Wednesday and contacted child welfare officials about the child in the home.
Police say they got a search warrant for the address as part of an investigation into illegal drug sales in the community.
Patten was arrested on an unrelated drug charge of possession of marijuana and other arrests are expected in connection with the other drugs. Police say the seizure, which included scales and other evidence of sales, helped them demonstrate that drugs were being sold from the address.
Police also noted the address is close to a school and that will be taken into consideration when the case is prosecuted.
Patten was release don $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in February.
