Tilton police say they've made a significant arrest in effort to attack regional drug problem

TILTON - Police raided a hotel just before midnight on Thursday following a lengthy investigating into heroin and methamphetamine sales in the area.

Police arrested two individuals they believe were moving from hotel to hotel as part of an illegal sales operation.

Arrested at a hotel off exit 20 of Interstate 93 were Jeremy Roy, 25, whose last address was 725 Laconia Road in Tilton, and Tiffany Lemire, 33, who used the same address. Both were charged with possession with the intent to sell and held on $10,000 cash bail. They were scheduled to be arraigned in Franklin District Court on Friday.

Police also seized several bags of heroin and approximately six ounces of crystal meth, along with cutting agents, scales and several handguns, some real, some replicas. Detectives also seized two fire safes and several cell phones believed to be used in the sales operation.

Police say the rais stemmed from an investigation over the course of several months. Given the serious problem of overdoses in the area, police say they believe these arrests are significant and that more charges and arrests will follow.
