Tilton man arrested at traffic stop for active cash warrants, drug related offenses

FRANKLIN — A Tilton man was arrested during a traffic stop in Franklin for two active cash warrants for drug related offenses.

A Franklin officer conducting a traffic stop on South Main Street stopped a vehicle heading southbound on Friday at about 3:30 p.m. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Wayne Smith. The officer discovered that Smith had two active cash warrants for drug related offenses totaling $4,000.

Smith was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections pending arraignment.
